How are you spending August?

How are you spending August?

It’s that time of year where, as parents, we’re looking for things to do with our kids in the summer. Here is my list of 7 things that you could do this August.

WITH THE KIDS: Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo

WITH THE KIDS: Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo

It’s been a few years since we visited Folly Farm, but we’ve always had a good time so being in the area we had to go. As we started to get closer, it all started to feel familiar, although we were still half a mile away. The old memories of when we first visited when my daughter was only one were fresh in my mind as if it were yesterday.

WITH THE KIDS: Clearwell Caves

Nestled just outside of Coleford town, are Clearwell Caves. An impressive and magical reminder of how things used to be, when the caves were mined, and a place where families can step back in time.

WITH THE KIDS: PUZZLEWOOD

Just a stone’s throw away from the River Severn is Puzzlewood. An enchanting woodland that will have you occupied for hours.

I hadn’t heard of Puzzlewood until literally the day before we went. Like with a lot of things these days, it was thanks to a thread on Facebook. With the threat of more sunshine, I thought this would be a great place to visit and get out of the sweltering sun whilst still being outdoors.
