Why do you feel invisible?

We always seem to be rushing. Rushing to keep up. Rushing to get something done. Rushing from one thing to another.

Or rather than rushing is it more like feeling too busy?

Too busy looking after everyone else?

Too busy working your way through your ‘to-do’ list?

Too busy surviving?

You’re too busy because you’ve chosen to be too busy. I know, shock horror. But it’s true. Every day we are presented with a choice. Every day it’s up to us to decide what happens next.

Making the decision on what you do next is about awareness. It’s about being present. It’s about living consciously. However, sometimes it feels easier just to keep going instead of stopping. Instead of taking the decision to change. Instead of saying yes to you.

The thing is, you’re actually just hiding. You’ve made the decision to be invisible. Being busy just makes it feel legitimate. 

So ask yourself, what’s your truth?

Do you know who you are?

Do you stand tall and seize every day?

Do you look forward to what opportunities may come your way?


Have you lost yourself?

Do you not know who you are anymore?

Are you living on autopilot?

You see, it is up to us to ensure that we are fit, healthy and our needs are being met. However, as mums we focus all our energy on others and forget about the most important person in our lives, ourselves. 

The thing is, if you are exhausted and tired. If you haven’t the time for you. If you are not at your best, then how can you be the best for others? It’s simple. You can’t.

There is only so long you can continue on this path before you’ve had enough.

It doesn’t have to be like this. You can rediscover who you are and step into being proud of who you and go after what you want. Here are my top 5 tips.

Take yourself out for a catch up

Get to know who you are and what you want. Remember all the things that you love about life and who you are. Go on a date with yourself.


Make time for you. You are the most important person in your life. It’s true. So give yourself time each day that is just for you. You are more than worth it and you deserve it.


It’s your responsibility to ensure that you are at your best and the way to do that is by caring for yourself. Find out what that is and build it into your daily routine.

Find your inner cheerleader

Know how amazing you are and replace that inner critic with your inner cheerleader. Acknowledge everything that is awesome about you and remind yourself regularly. The more you practice the quicker you will realise this to be true.

Great, self care

Take action

Reflection is great but it’s even better when you then take action. Decide what you want and take small steps to get there. Small steps make it easy. The easier it is for you to start, the quicker you will progress.

You don’t have to continue to be invisible in your life. You can decide what’s next.
